Holiday over... Back to reality.

Ok, we had a blast! First off Click Here for photos, there's plenty to see. Alcatraz, San Francisco Zoo, Golden Gate Bridge, the cable cars, Union Square, Haight and much much more. The whole experience was one we will never forget.

The funny thing about the journey back was California Border Control & Customs were very very easy going. We walked through the metal detector, but didn't have to take anything metal off! There were only one or two guards, and they didn't seem interested. What a change from Heathrow!

So, we're back in Wales, and the jet-lag is unbelievable. Hopefully tonight will sort things out and it'll all be back to normal. More to follow soon...

SF - So Far

We're in San Francisco. We were searched 3 times coming here, the final time was quite a horrible experience by a guy who couldn't speak English! But after a 10 hour 12 minute flight on UA0931 we're here safely and enjoying. Through the window we seen some breathtaking sights, including snowy mountains over Greenland and The Rocky mountains. Outstanding.

Thursday night we had a quick look around Fisherman's Wharf, before hitting the sack at 8pm California time. We'd been up for 18 hours or so, so as soon as we hit the pillow we were out!

Friday we bought a 2 day tour bus pass and went on the 1 and half hour tour, seeing sights we never thought we'd see. We also stopped in the centre of San Francisco for a while. It was brilliant. Friday evening we went on a 3 hour tour of Alcatraz, this was truly an amazing sight and experience also, and one we'll never forget.

Today we've so far been shopping in San Francisco and getting even more sunburn. Thankfully we bought some sun cream which has really helped us. Our next stop is a meal this evening in an expensive restaurant called Aqua... Should be fun!

Will tweet and blog more in due course!

San Francisco

Ok, I'm off to San Francisco with Sara now for nearly 2 weeks. We've got our money, we've got our clothes, our gadgets and everything else. My last mission was to print off various "money off" vouchers for use while in 'Cisco so now it's less than 12 hours and we're getting very excited.

The only way to keep up with us will be to join me on Twitter. My Twitter address is listed on this page, so just add me and follow our exploits! Hopefully we'll have wi-fi for use with my netbook, if not in the hotel room, then I know there are wi-fi spots around SF area.
